ESITO’s cable jointer qualifications will enable you to gain registration as a cable jointer.

The pathway consists of two qualifications, at Level 2 and 3. You can register as a cable jointer once you complete the Level 3 qualification.

Level 4 covers high voltage cable jointer skills and Level 5 specialist skills.

Qualification	Level	Description
National Certificate in Electricity Supply	2	This is an entry level qualification for people with limited direct work experience already employed in the electricity supply industry. It is also intended for school leavers entering the industry.    The qualification covers generic workplace skills such as communication and safety, and a selection of electricity supply skills directly related to the industry.
National Certificate in Electricity Supply Cable Jointer Low Voltage	3	Level 3 qualification holders can apply for line mechanic registration with a cable jointer limitation.  Candidates apply for their registration with the Electrical Workers’ Registration Board.
National Certificate in Electricity Supply Cable Jointer High Voltage	4	The Level 4 qualification builds on the skills covered in Level 3 and also covers high voltage techniques.
National Certificate in Electricity Supply Cable Jointer Specialist	5	The Level 5 qualification covers the specialist jointing and terminating of high voltage cables.
