To become an Operator, you would have completed a mechanical or electrical qualification. Then you will need to follow the Electricity Supply Operator Pathway made up of three National Certificates. Each has a specific training and assessment requirement. A trainee will normally take two years to complete the training pathway before becoming a qualified operator.
