Is your business missing out on potential employees or failing to retain key people?
Could you understand your customers better or access new markets?
Is your business experiencing a skills gap which could be filled by people you don't usually target for recruitment?

Does your business employ different groups, for example, Māori, Women, Pacific Peoples or New Migrant? If YES ---- Think about how best to manage and support these diverse groups to make the most of their unique talents and skills for the best business outcomes.
If NO ---- Think about the talent pool, unique skills and market opportunities your company is missing out on.
Diversity encompasses visible and non-visible individual differences for example, gender, culture, ethnicity, disabilities, family situation and sexual orientation. It can be seen in the make up of our workforce and where people are placed, including management positions, securing job opportunities and in workplace terms and conditions. It is about making the best of people's talents, whatever their backgrounds.[1]

There are more women, a greater variety of ethnic groups, more people with disabilities. Many workers are part-time, often with family responsibilities. There are a number of drivers affecting the workforce.
