After applications close on 19 August students will be invited to attend an interview. Interviews are normally face-to-face, but depending on the student’s location, phone interviews can be arranged.

2011 Tasters off to a flying start

Making an extension lead, rewinding a small motor and touring Mighty River Power’s Arapuni dam were just a few of the activities students from Morrinsville and Te Aroha colleges got to do recently.

The students were part of ESITO’s 3-day Tainui Taster held at Morrinsville College from 19-21 July.

In the South Island, 15 students from the Canterbury region attended the Christchurch Taster at CPIT.

CPIT programme leader Stephen Price said the students were very motivated and keen to find out more about the electricity industry and especially enjoyed the power station tour at Lake Coleridge.

More Taster Courses will run during the October school holidays. Find out more.
