Getting Started
ESITO helps electricity supply industry employees to complete the required training for a National Qualifications Framework certificate or diploma in an industry career pathway.
Once you and your employee have decided on a career pathway, ESITO recommends you have an agreement in writing that covers the arrangement. The ESITO Training Agreement, signed by you and your employee, is a mechanism to record both parties’ commitment to training. It notes the qualification/s your employee intends to complete and the timeframe. ESITO's Training Agreement is designed to sit comfortably with the employment agreement you have with your employee. The ESITO Training Agreement is needed so we can access government funding towards the development and support of training and assessment in the industry.
As an employer our ESITO Customer Service Managers are available to work with you to identify and develop training solutions that meet the needs of your company and your individual employee. Once these needs are identified and you and your employee are ready to begin training, our ESITO Customer Service Manager will arrange a time to visit to complete the necessary administration, and explain the training process to you and your employee.
Depending on the chosen career pathway, we will assign a trainee coordinator. Trainee coordinators meet with your employee up to four times a year to check how things are going, provide support and mentoring, and provide you with feedback. In addition to these visits, the trainee coordinator and ESITO Customer Service Manager are available at any time to assist with the training needs of you and your staff members.
