What is ESITO membership?

Membership of ESITO is open to Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) companies, organisations and associations. Their annual subscriptions help to fund ESITO’s objective to provide effective training to the industry.

By becoming a member of ESITO, you will be contributing to the development of a skilled, industry workforce. You will also help to make sure that the industry has access to ESITO’s services.

How do you become a member?

You may become an ESITO member at any time during the year. Your membership fee will cover the financial year in which you apply. (ESITO’s financial year is 1 January to 31 December.)

Full Membership

All ESI companies in New Zealand may apply for full membership. ESI companies include:

• generation, transmission and distribution network asset owners
• enterprises contracting to those asset owners for the installation, operation and maintenance of industry assets
• electricity retailers
• consultants to the industry, including companies and organisations which represent groupings of enterprises within the industry;
• the employees of enterprises, retailers, consultants and organisations that contract to asset owners.

Associate Membership

Non-ESI companies, organisations or individuals may apply for Associate Membership.

Membership fees are based on the total number of people within a company.
